The Colonnade

Georgia College's on-campus newspaper

I have worked for The Colonnade, Georgia College's on-campus newspaper, for two years. Below is a selection of articles from both my positions as News Editor and Editor in Chief. If you would like to discuss one of these pieces, please don't hesitate to reach out.

President Cox Q&A

News

In this Q&A, I sat down with Cathy Cox, Georgia College's 12th president. This article was published shortly after Cox began her presidency at GC.

The Overturning of Roe v. Wade

Opinion Editorial

This was an opinion editorial published in the first edition of The Colonnade in the 2022 Fall semester. It was the paper’s first publication after the dissipation of Roe v. Wade.

Literary Censorship in the Public School System

Opinion Editorial

My Work Showcase

Last year, I was the producer for GC360, Georgia College’s on-campus news station. Through this position, I learned how to lead and manage several students while mandating all incoming content for our weekly news broadcast. I rebranded GC360 to be a more inclusive and exciting work environment for college students, while also pursuing my goal of objective and timely reporting. I have shared two of my favorite news packages on my portfolio, and I welcome the opportunity to further discuss my work.
